First Team Training Session
Friday night we had our first team training session. We talked a bit about the history of Namibia and how Christ's Church became involved with the different ministries there. We talked about the importance of fundraising and ways to go about it. We also covered a bit about what to expect in regards to accommodations, meals, what to bring and other general information. Don't worry, we will go further into this as we continue to prepare for the trip. Towards the end of the meeting everyone broke into their teams and learned about the other people on their team and the ministries that they will be a part of. For the few of you that were unable to attend, please be sure to see your team leader since this was a mandatory meeting and needs to be made up.I am truly excited to share this trip with so many that have never experienced Namibia. I am looking forward to spending more time with each of you and curious to discover how God is going to work in each of our lives.
The best news of the evening (in my opinion) was the announcement of our tentative travel arrangements. It looks like we are only going to have 3 flights to Namibia!!! Boston to London to Frankfurt to Namibia!!! Woo-hoo!!! One of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen is the view flying over the Sahara Desert...
