Dust In The Wind
Yesterday was a pretty eventful day… we continued to take down the tree and we are almost there with minimal damage. It’s an acacia tree (which is said to be the tree that the crown of thorns that Jesus wore was made of). So, the kids have some scrapes and puncture wounds, but that’s about it.In the afternoon we went to “Tin City” which is a few miles away in Okahandja to play with some children and then went to the bands performance in one of the Judea Harvest tent churches. The band was amazing and the team really enjoyed playing with the kids and being able to hear the band.
We had another late night looking at the stars and sitting around the camp fire. During the evening 4th of July celebration we had a parade around the property playing “Yankee Doodle” with drums, flute and sparklers. It was a cool moment… I think we woke up the Florida team, but they didn’t come join us… :-)
This morning Team Arandis/Rehoboth has left for Arandis to begin ministering with Brenda Johnston. Colin’s luggage had made it and Team Ondangwa should’ve received theirs also.
Alex says that everything is going great, lots of great photo opportunities… Hope you are not having too much fun without us!!!
