It's Been A Busy Couple of Days!!

The past couple of days have been pretty full and I have not had the full opportunity to get a detailed posting or put up as many pictures as I would like, but I should have some more time to focus on that and then I will be able to fill you in with more of our journey.

We seem to be focusing more of our time in "Tin Town" rather than Vyf Rand. The Florida/Seattle teams are doing Holiday Clubs around town and in Vyf Rand, so we moved onto another part of town that needs just as much love as Vyf Rand.

We were going to help out with soup kitchens on Wednesday, but there was only one that needed help so Mike took some kids there and I went to a pre-school that Karen & Abby visited daily in 2004, and I visited there after my trip back from Rehoboth. I recognized a couple of the kids and the teacher, Erica. She is a sweet older lady. The kids do not have much for toys, but play with an old car body as a playground. I sat inside as one of the children was "driving" and just looked at all the shaep edges in disbelief...

In the evening we traveled to Windhoek to Emmanuel Church's "Father's House" which is their youth group. Originally the band was to just play a few songs and the Youth Pastor, Johan, was going to give a message. But plans changed and the band had the entire evening. Kirk and Dave both gave their testimonies. I am so proud of Kirk... (Dave too) I have known Kirk for the past 4 years and I have never heard him articulate as beautifully and honestly as I did last evening. To share what he shared in front of all those kids, it took guts and God's grace. It is so wonderful to see how God is working in that boys life!!!

As for my wonderful team... they are doing well... and I can not wait to share more when I have the opportunity... I think I hear Mike in the Kombie pulling in now....
